Speaking & Facilitating
I love to share my knowledge about disability.
After doing this work for many years I have built a wealth of knowledge about disability that I would love to share with you or your organization! Here are some topics I’m prepared to speak about:
Experiences with dynamic and “invisible” illnesses
Becoming disabled as a young adult and adjusting to being disabled
Navigating the workplace as a disabled person
Preparing for acute illness/disability as a nondisabled person
Lessons from being a disability doula
And so much more! If you want to talk about these or any other topics I could speak about, let’s chat!

Facilitation
In addition to speaking engagements, I absolutely love facilitating. It’s one of my all time favorite things to help move a group through a collective experience towards a common goal. I ground my facilitation in data, organizational change best practices, and play. I have often found that when people have space to be curious and creative, the most deep and lasting change can occur.
Here are some sample workshop topics I’m prepared to facilitate:
Disability 101 - defining disability, understanding access needs and practicing asking for and meeting access needs.
Disability 201 - Engaging more meaningfully with disabled people including how to ask better questions
Planning accessible events
Engaging with disabled customers
And more! If there is a workshop you’d like to see me facilitate, please reach out.
